Guys,
If your looking for a good replacement modem, get one of the US
Robotics/3Comm 56k Performance Pro's. Its a hardware modem and I installed it
in about 10 minutes. No more disconnects, stopped data flow and it
consistently connects at 48Kb out here in the country. My E machine came with
a software modem that consistently gave me problems until lightening blew it
up a few weeks back.
