I think you're right, it's better to check that everything is working
before each contest and in reality it's not a hard thing to do. Many
thanks for your hard work.

The simplest and most versatile way is to edit (and test) the relevant
CW memories before a contest.  An alternative might be for me to add
appropriate parameters in the template file for each contest - or to
make provision for separate ini files for each contest.  But those
options come with their own disadvantages.
It's easy to change the keyer parameters manually - with Shift-F1, F2
etc.  I see this as an essential overhead before the start of any CW
contest.

I do the CWOps CWT every Wednesday and use SD in Linux. It works
perfectly and controls both my rig and my Winkey. I want to enter the
CQ WW CW contest at the end of the month. My problem is I have to
reconfigure SD to send my zone. When I finish the contest is over I
have to reconfigure again for the CWOps test. My solution to this
problem is to have multiple sd.ini files. Is there an easier way?
Especially as I want to enter multiple CW contests next year. I do
have to say though, SD is a great program and works well in Ubuntu
Linux.
