When I use option 1 in SD Check V12.02 no .log file produced I have used the
Windows explorer search facility in case it has disappeared else where but
still not trace. I am using SD as a straight logging program, no rig control
or any thing else fancy.

Esc clears or wipes only the current field - where the
cursor is.

To abandon a QSO, minus is recommended. An alternative
is F11 (Quick Memory is not updated).

If you log a DX (non-Ukraine) station, with something
in the district field, there are two ways of fixing
things. Either Zap it, as LZ5AZ described, and log
the call and serial again or, at some convenient time,
use SD's normal edit facilities to change the prefix
to that of a Ukraine station (for example, edit DL2AA
to UT2AA). This lets you Tab across to the district
field - use Esc to clear it, then tab back to the
callsign field and restore the original call DL2AA.

This is faster to do than to describe, and there's no
need to leave SD.

Paul EI5DI

Thanks for the help, I will use minus in future. Might have helped if I
had read the help files in advance. No excuse as I have been using SD
for many years!

Apologies if you have seen this from other sources, but I thought it
might be worth mentioning it here.

Each year K1AR conducts an opinion survey of contesters, he would
appreciate responses from as many people as possible. The results
will be published in CQ Magazine.

The survey can be done online, and only takes a few minutes, and can
be anonymous if you prefer it. One of the questions is about which
logging program you use, SD is not one of the pre-defined options
but can be entered in the "other" box.

Hello.

Not had much response from my post a couple of days ago so do I take it that
no one else is getting the same problem of the rig locking onto tx on
starting SD and then if I type the "PORTS" command and keep pressing the
"ENTER" key all is fine.

My radio is a Kenwood TS870.
