I just received a MicroHam unit the other day and am in the early stages
of trying to set it up. In attempting to install the software the
following warning appeared:
" If your computer is P4 based with enabled hyper threading support,
exit the setup and disable hyper threading".
As my computer is indeed a Pentium 4 I changed the CPU Configuration to
disable the hyper threading. However when I used SD to work the Russian
contest today SD could read the frequency, which it does in contests. As
I had only changed the CPU configuration in respect to the hyper
threading I decided to again enable the hyper threading which resulted
in SD again reading the frequency of my FT1000MP.
Now I beginning to think that my computer may be "too advanced" for the
MicroHam unit. Has anyone experienced a similar problem using the
SD/MicroHam combination.
