Or buy a 250 Hz Filter for the 756.

We used and WON LOTS of RTTY contests at Hal's, WA7EGA (now K7IRA) contest station in Spokane Washington with Icom IC751 and 250 HZ filters.

Subject: [RTTY] IC-7300 ??

I am presently using a first generation Icom IC-756 and in a crowded RTTY
situation it shows its age and vulnerabilities. Even with a 500Hz filter it
fails miserably in a pile-up on RTTY. I am considering one of the newer
Icoms and the only one near my price range is the new IC-7300. Is anyone
using one on RTTY and if so how does it perform when the bands get
crowded?

Thanks - de Clint - W5CPT -
