Greetings Diddlers:
Great turnout last week. Many of our regular attendees with several that have
recently joined in the fun back for more. Gary, NA6O (a well known NCCCer and
N6RO regular) jumped in last week. He did find it tough going with his home
station combined with the poor conditions, but made some Qs (as I knew he
would!). Welcome Gary and hope we can get you back again. The poor conditions
were an obvious precursor to last weekend’s Phone NAQP, which from here sounded
dismal. I keep thinking it’s just got to get better sometime!
The upcoming weekend has lots of stuff on tap. Slovenia CC has their RTTY test
for us diddlers, augmented by several stateside QSO parties and a couple of
regular DX tests from almost every continent. Decisions, decisions.
So if you are looking for a good time to check out your RTTY setup and ensure
it’s ready for the weekend, please join us for a quick 30 minute trip into
Digital Sprinting nirvana! Also remember we now have a Live Scores page
available if you would like to keep track of your competition in (almost) real
time. See details below if you are not familiar with the setup. All the major
loggers are supported.

Friday, 25 Aug 2017, 0145Z - 0215Z (Thursday, 24 Aug 2017 in NA)
-- 1845 - 1915 PDT
-- 2145 - 2215 EDT
-- (others in-between those two)
-- 160: 1805 and up (Not sure this will be productive)
-- 80/40/20/15/10 +80kHz up from the band edge (start checking those higher
bands!)
-- Same band dupes ok after 1 intervening Q.
-- 1 kHz QSY rule, otherwise standard Sprint rules
-- Mults per band
-- 100W power limit

For something new (and exciting?), give the live scoreboard a try at
https://contestonlinescore.com . Set up your logger to report and select the
NCCC NA RTTY SPRINT on the web page to display the scores. The Help menu
pulldown will give you the info needed to setup the most common logging
programs.
Don’t forget to report your score to 3830scores.com, and join us at 0300Z on
3610 kHz (+/- a few for ongoing groups) for comments and questions (and dinner
menus).
