Here here!
Welcome back Ray! I have never forgotten trying to get your software working
with the "new" Pentium chips and having to run a small utility called SloMo
to slow the processor down so that I could run RTTY by WF1B. It was fine on
the older 386's, and even the 486 was OK, but the advent of the Pentium chip
rather screwed things up for us RTTY contesters.
Even with the advent of Win98 with a Pentium processor, SloMo running, and
then getting a DOS window to run the software was occasionally an issue.
Those were the days! In a good contest, you could even work in excess of 100
contacts too!
Things have moved on a little, as I am sure you will find.
I stuck with your software until I could no longer get SloMo to work
satisfactorily, and then migrated to MMTTY, which was newly available
outside Japan. That was a major revolution, and I was among the first to try
it out.
I then started using Writelog, and the rest, as they say, is history.
So, welcome back, and I for one hope to see you in a RTTY contest soon....
Very best 73
