I wouldn't worry about using more conventional power levels unless
your neighbors are using broadcast TV antennas and you are in a fringe zone.
I use wire dipoles in pine trees - typically 40-50 feet up, and I
worked 700 Q's this past weekend with 500 W in the CQ WW RTTY
contest, with 20 giving the most activity.

So where I live, I have a lot of neighbors...really close
neighbors. I need to keep them happy. I have permission from the
powers that be to put up some antennas.
So I ask, how viable is RTTY at "QRP" power levels? I am talking
about a max of about 10 watts. I want to do general rag chewing and
a little contesting.
Your comments and suggestions are wanted.
