Hi Paul.

Good advice! AA5AU is a huge source of information and tutorials.

If you are going to Newark this year, look on the Kenwood stand. BARTG will have a demonstration RTTY station working there and you can ask questions and get advice at the same time.

YOu could also join BARTG as a "Friend". It is free to join, has a web site, and you can also get lots of information from committee members. John GW4SKA is a regular contest entrant, as is Chris G8APB.

You could also look at some on-line webinars. These are very useful for both data and contesting in general. Go to http://www.pvrc.org/Webinars.html

YOu can learn a lot by viewing these.

( Upgrade your licence ASAP too, you will be able to work a lot more with 100w! )

I won't say Don's site sent me from "zero to hero," but it did at least get me from zero to competent! I highly recommend starting there.

Hi

I am new to RTTY contesting as well as being a new ham radio operator would it be possible for someone to point me in the right direction to information on how to get involved with contesting. I know there is a lot of information
on the web but non of it seems to be aimed at the novice.

Thanks in advance
