In a non-scientific survey - mostly by gleaning from post contest comments
and asking around - this is by far the leading cause of slow, non-diddled
transmissions in contests. Unless they get a decent rhythm going you are
going to lose characters in decode.

Elecraft could fix this and put in diddles but they haven't yet seen fit to
do so...
