The Time should not be problematic.. As far as I know every contest program
out there and most of the digital programs have a macro that will send a 4
digit time. It is when users of said programs fail to follow instructions
when setting things up for the contest...

Subject: Re: [RTTY] BARTG HF Contest 2015
If the BARTG committee determines that the time portion of the BARTG
exchange has become too problematic for its continued use in the contest,
may I suggest replacing it with a code that indicates power and antenna type
being used. This could be as simple as <W100> for 100 watts and a dipole,
or <Y005> for 5 watts and a tribander, or <V075> for
75 watts and a vertical. This scheme could be made simpler with fewer power
choices, or more complicated in many ways. And it might require the
operator to change the exchange if antenna type or power changed on
different bands. This is surely more useful information than the time
stamp.
Gee, we could even try real RST reports, but I don't think that would
fly.
