I use this radio the last 14 years... So... If you have connected the
4pin din jack, you use fsk pressing the rtty button. If you have
connected the 5pin din jack, you will do afsk pressing the pkt button.

With the FT-1000MP, "RTTY" selects FSK, while "PKT" selects AFSK.
