All my transmissions begin with CR/LF/SP (Carriage Return, Line Feed,
Space).
That way all of the Model 15's will return their print heads to the left
margin, advance the paper one line, and indent one space from the left
margin before printing the first character onto the paper. This sequence
works well on Model 19's too.

I know this has probably been brought up before, but
somehow I can't locate the information.
When running RTTY (not necessarily in a test) and you
are beginning to transmit, I somehow recall that you
should first trasnmit a particular character to aid
in synchronization. Was it a SPACE, a LINE FEED, or
something of that nature to 'clear' the next line of
text from the receiver's screen.
I'm sure Chen knows the answer from a technical point
of view. I'm thinking; however, of day to day operation.
