This a unpaid plug for new book by N3BB that may be of interest to other
amateur radio operators. N3BB read a sneak preview at a CTDXCC meeting about
the character's first encounter with ham radio and it was very good.

Excuse the off topic posting but many of us were in high school in the 50's and
60's.

The amazon blurb says

Anyone and everyone who went to high school in the 50's to 60's will thoroughly
enjoy this trip down Memory Lane. -- Remember cruising and hot-cars,
drive-in's, Friday night football games and dances, Rock & Roll, young love?
Every class had one of the characters -- the Oldies King, the Rock & Roll
singer, the Football Captain, the Cheerleader, the Homecoming Queen, the best
dancers, and the reticent main character who had to become the "man of the
house" much too early. Jimmy suffered tremendous pain and self-consciousness
having to hide his family secret from his classmates and potential girlfriends
while protecting his Mother and Sister from potential harm. Any adult today who
had significant issues with a parent will identify with the wounds of youth
that take a life time to heal and perhaps an eternity and God's grace to
FORGIVE.
