Scott and others.
Visiting QRZ won't cause the malware people have reported to get installed.
I'm pretty sure you need to take an action (click a pop-up alert, etc) or
download something and AFTER that you would see what was reported. You
certainly wouldn't see it just by visiting a web page.
Now if you don't use Internet Explorer as your main browser, you wouldn't
know you had an issue until you used IE directly or through PathFinder
which uses IE no matter what web browser you have as your default and THEN
you'd see the problem. Also these malware programs don't show up on every
page you visit, you so you could have the issue and visit many pages and it
wouldn't necessary bring up any alert.
You also say you "got it twice". What does that mean? How do you know QRZ
was the culprit or are you basing it on others reporting it? What was the
malware? What browser do you normally use?
I can't of course guarantee QRZ wasn't the cause, but it's visited by 10's
of thousands of folks a day and if there was a virus, there would be
reports all over their forums and I don't think you'd find any reports of
an issue.
