I don't think anyone is insisting on free, but today most applications have
a way to test drive them. They are either restricted to a particular amount
of time, reduced capacity (can only enter xx contacts in a contest as an
example) or some other throttle that allows you to try things out and
determine if you want to purchase the product.
i think the point has been made, and if WL's strategy is pay or get nothing,
then from me, it might be get nothing. I wonder how many more of "me" there
are out there? Like I posted, I have no issue paying $30 (per year) for
something that gives me value, but I'm not willing to pay $30 to find out
there is possibly no value for something.
At least with $30 in laxative, you probably are up to $90 in toilet paper
too.
