Absolute *GARBAGE!* Nobody needs more than 400 KHz (+/- 200
Hz) for *CW* beacons.
Any (FSK) RTTY signal (mark frequency) below 14.099.700 or
above 14.100.470 should be just fine. For AFSK "carrier"
frequencies (LSB with "high tones") anything below 14.101.800
or above 14.102.600 allows a +/- 300 Hz "guard band" for the
"beacons." For those who insist on AFSK (USB) the equivalent
"safe" dial frequencies (high tones) are below 14.097.4 and
above 14.098.200.
Any LID who insists on keeping 14.097 - 14.103 (or even 14.098.5
to 14.101.5) clear during a RTTY contest is simply not competent
to hold a license.
