"DNIEPER CUP'2009" CONTEST Rules
League radioamateurs of Ukraine (UARL) kindly like to invite all
radioamateurs to take part in International contest "Dnieper Cup", which
will be carried on 03.10.2009.
The competitions pass on two bands - 1,8 and 3,5 MHz and include 3 two-hour
rounds:
1 round - SSB 16:00 - 17:59 UTC;
2 round - CW 18:00 - 19:59 UTC;
3 round - RTTY 20:00 - 21:59 UTC.
Call: CQ DC Repeated QSO with same correspondent can be made again if
interval in time is 30 or more minutes from previous QSO on same band!
Exchange is five-unit, consist of the reference designation of region (or
other similar territorial formation - province, state, land) and serial
number starting from 001 for each round separately, for example: Poltava
region (Ukraine)-PO001; Ancona (Italy)-AN021; Alsace (France)-AL035;
Gotlands land (Sweden)-GO123.
QSO Points:
4 (four) points per QSO on 1,8 MHz;
2 (two) points per QSO on 3,5 MHz;
10 points for new region (province, state, land, etc.) on each bands.
CATEGORY:
A - MIX (SSB, CW & RTTY), Single Op - two bands;
A-low power - MIX (SSB, CW & RTTY), Single Op - two bands;
B - MIX (SSB, CW & RTTY), Multi-Op - two bands;
C - RTTY Single Op - two bands;
D - SSB Single Op - two bands;
E - CW Single Op - two bands;
F - 1,8 MHz MIX (SSB, CW & RTTY), Single Op;
G - 3,5 MHz MIX (SSB, CW & RTTY), Single Op; H - 1,8 MHz SSB, Single Op;
I - 3,5 MHz SSB, Single Op; J - 1,8 MHz CW, Single Op ;
K - 3,5 MHz CW, Single Op; L - 1,8 MHz RTTY, Single Op;
M - 3,5 MHz RTTY, Single Op.
Category A, A-low power and B means operation on two bands and as minimum in
two modes (rounds). Max power out should be not exceeds your national
license. Low power means using TX with output power not more then 100 Watts.
Category B means team consisting of 2-3 operators. Only one transmitted
signal can be used in same time for any participants. Band changes can be
performed each 5 minutes, but for Multi-op participants is possible quick
band changes, only to work new region (province, state, land etc).
Winners in category A, A-low power and B will be awarded with "Dnieper Cup",
diplomas. Winners in the rest of subgroups - prizes of sponsors as well and
diplomas.
NEW! Special prize - small "Dnieper Cup" (category "A-low power") will be
applicate to the winner in category "A-low power" if there not less that 10
participants in this category. Every ham, if send an actual LOG will receive
certificate "Participant of contest".
Final scoring:
for category A, A-low power and B - total score is the sum of two bands and
two (three) rounds results;
for classes C,D,E - sum of two band results,
for classes F,G,H,I,J,K,L or M - sum of points in band-mode result.
Logs: Cabrillo format is preferred. LOG needs your personal info, class,
address; full QSO data, eg: band, mode, date, time, your call, send
exchange, station call, received exchange. There is not need to calculate
final score manually.

In line CATEGORY, it is necessary to indicate the category in which your
radio station is declared:
A, A-low power, B, C, etc...
Participant, sending reports for Checklog must write Z sign.
Log must be one file - "call.log" or "call.cbr", for example: ux0ff.log,
oh2lu.cbr...
And as well a summary sheet by separate file.
Comments, anecdotes and suggestions will be welcomed!
LOGs entries must be E-mailed or postmarked by 04-nov-2009.
All logs will be cross-checked by special computer software. We are going to
use for the final result ONLY QSO's which have QSO time deviation not more
than +/- 2 minutes. Please don't forget to correct Your computer's clock
before the contest! We are going to use for the final result ONLY QSO's
confirmed by received LOG's! Please send Your LOG even if You made only few
QSO's!
We suggest to use program "DClog" specially developed to manage operation in
"Dnieper Cup", its carry operate in SSB, CW and RTTY modes, doing dupe
checking in 30 minutes range and makes LOG report ready to send. Freeware!
