Hi All,
I've been upgrading my computers in the shack lately. As everyone knows,
Vista is almost mandatory on a new computer. A good point for Vista is adding a
serial card. What a breeze! I just put 4 of the cheap, E-bay, 2 port, 14
dollar serial cards into my different Vista computers, and 1 different mfgr's
cheap e-bay serial card into a friends computer. In my computers the drivers
were
already in Vista. In my friend's computer we had to load the drivers from a
CD. I was ready for a 3 day fight like it used to be when installing a serial
card on older versions of Windows. Everything was automatic in Vista. A 3
minute job.
With all of the traffic on the reflector about usb to serial adapters, I
thought I'd mention the ease and nearly non-expense of just popping in a serial
card.

Marty AB5GU
