Hi all,

Apologies for my absence in both the Makrothen and JARTS, but for the first,
I was busy doing jobs at the mother-in-law's, and was busy all weekend.
For JARTS, I had planned on spending some time on the radio, but the
household chief dictated that I really ought to be catching up on chores
here. It was also a very pleasant weekend, and probably the last warm
weekend of the year, so I had to make the most of that!

I have managed to work VK9DWX on 30m RTTY, and if you haven't noticed, their
4-square antenna really does work! I was listening to them working W's on
Sunday around 1500UTC, and they were barely readable here, although I did
print their call a few times.
I was just about to give up when I saw "NOW EU", and their signal went from
S0 to S9 in an instant!
They were amazingly strong, and I only spent about 15 minutes before logging
them.
I avoided the "pile" and went up as high as I could, and it paid off nicely.

Now, if only they would be on 20m at a reasonable time for me!

73 all

Phil GU0SUP
