I have worked six states on six meter RTTY.

I worked AD4EB (TN), W0RAA (CO), W3YX (OH), K4WNW (VA) & W0PWA (IA) on 7/29/07
on 50305 Mhz. Previous to that I worked my friend
Keith K5KB who is local here in New Orleans (LA) on 50300 MHz.

I would very much like to work all states on six meters. Doing some antenna
work here this spring and hope to have a 6-meter yagi
up about 70 feet when everything is completed.

I'd like to spend more time on six meters. Maybe if we get enough interested,
we can create a six-meter RTTY calling frequency like
50300 or 50305 and flock to those frequencies when the band is open. Right now
I'm using my D4 dipole on six meters, but my A3S
works on six as well with a tuner.

Subject: [RTTY] New six meter award and RTTY question

The ARRL has announced a new award for six meter operators, details below. This
award is for working all 488 grid squares in the
continental United States, mixed mode. It makes me wonder if anyone has worked
all states on six meter RTTY? Does anyone know?

If you have some six meter RTTY states worked, I'd like to hear about it.
Please list your totals here.

ARRL announcement:

RRL Contest Branch Manager, Sean KX9X writes to let us know, "The ARRL is
pleased to announce a new VHF achievement award in the
name of Fred Fish, W5FF (SK). This award <http://www.arrl.org/awards/ffma>
honors Fred's singular achievement of working and
confirming all 488 grid squares in the 48 contiguous United States on 6 meters.
We hope this award will help promote activity on 6
meters and encourage the activation of rare grid squares, DXpedition-style."

If memory serves me, Fred was the first to achieve DXCC on six meters, a truly
remarkable accomplishment.
