Sorry for the off-topic message!
One of our local guys has been getting set up for serious digital operation
(including RTTY!) and bought himself a Yaesu FT-1000MP via EBay. The radio
arrived OK, but in transit suffered damage to it's key unit - circuit board
is cracked. (This is the keypad on the front that does band changes etc)
The part number is CA 1290001. Unfortunately the units from the 1000 Field
and Mk5 are not compatible - must be from the MP model. The South African
Yaesu distributor say they cannot help - perhaps there is someone on this
list that can come to the rescue?
