Nowhere? How about HP/LP/QRP categories?

Adding an amplifier gives about the same advantage as adding a second
radio, IMO, and likewise deserves its own category.

Keep in mind that W4TV is not a contester. Joe is a merchant; a seller
of SO2R products who stands to profit from forcing as many as possible
to have to go SO2R to be competitive. Go to the MicroHam website
http://www.microham.com/index1.html and see who is the North American
distributor. Search your own log and see how many W4TV QSOs are in
there. In my log of more than 57,000 QSOs, 90% of which are contest
QSOs, W4TV is not in there even once. Joe has an agenda about SO2R and
it is not oriented toward what is best for contesting. It's about what
is best for Joe's bank account and he does not want that known. Have
you ever seen a disclaimer on one of his posts about his financial
interest in SO2R?

Based on past performance, Joe will reply to this email with outrage,
name calling and denial up one side and down the other, but what I
said above is true. Check it out for yourself and make up your own
mind.

Normally I do not engage in this kind of reply, but I am sick and
tired of W4TV falsely accusing me of a "jihad" against SO2R when
nothing could be further from the truth. I am sick and tired of him
falsely stating what I say, his dodging questions, his attempts to
change the subject and his denial of simple facts such as in his quote
at the top of this email.

This is going to be my last post on the SO1R vs So2R debate. The RTTY
contest community has already spoken on the subject:

http://www.rttycontesting.com/2007survey/2007octsurveyresults.html

Scroll down to the last graphic on the page. By a two to one margin,
RTTY contesters want SO1R and SO2R to be two separate categories. I
call upon the contest sponsors to take note and act accordingly.

I someone wants to ask a question about the subject, I will answer,
but as far as I am concerned, the debate itself is over. Two years of
debate is enough. You're tired of it and so am I. No more from me.

My disclaimer: I have zero financial interest in ham radio. I want
what is best for ham radio and for contesting. For me it is just a
hobby, not a business.

It's as simple as that.
