I have been all over the book, and I'm fairly sure I know the answer to this
question, I just want to be sure.

Can the Icom 746 (non pro) be ran on Rtty at full power safely? I use FSK
and I doubt that makes much difference. The only reference I can find in the
manual isn't in the Rtty section, it's at the front and speaks of not
getting the radio too hot.

In a contest, especially if you are S & P, I can't see where you are keyed
up long enough to overheat it. Running yes. And Rtty qso's at full power,
that would probably warm things up. Power supply is a 35 amp Astron so it
shouldn't be taxed at full power.

If anybody knows of someplace I missing, that says it's ok to run 100% duty
cycle on this radio, please knock me on the head and show me what I'm
missing in the book. My "MP" days are over for the time being anyway, so
this is the rig I'll be using. Messed up back means only a couple of hours
in the chair at a time anyway, so I'm no threat. And I'm still in the dark
ages only using 1 radio and a 3el tribander at 40ft. If anybody knows the
answer, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks..73 Mike K9MI
