Maybe so on the scope, I have never had one. My MARK-5 seems to get me
through ok. With the addition of two new DX countries recently, I still am
Honor Roll and now need just 5 more to have worked them all in the CW mode.
Scopes may help, but learning the DX ops working pattern and timing will
still probably get you more calls than a scope. I have chased DX for 30
years and I rely on my knowledge and experience to get me new DX. I pay
attention to The Daily DX bulletin and other helpers. Bernie stated in on
bulletin that 3C0M was saying "3 up up" but working up 10 to 15. Once I
learned that, it was fairly easy to work him. The PRO III must be a great
rig, but I can't buy another one now. hi. See you in the pile ups and

I think your experience is what's selling a lot of Pro III.
Once you have operated split with a band scope, it's tough to go without
one.
