Bill, I don't have to "prove" anything to you ... however, my
contest experience goes back 30 years to my days in Central Ohio.
I have been doing RTTY contests, probably two or three part-time
operations a year, under three different calls since I moved to
Florida (about 8 years ago). By the way, I don't find but a single
QSO with any of your calls in nearly 30 years - so you have ZERO
credibility on the SO2R and "real contesting"

In any case, there is no doubt that RTTY relies much more heavily
on equipment than on operator skill. All decoding (receiving) is
done by software/hardware - there isn't a single RTTY operator
alive that can decode every contest RTTY exchange in his head -
unlike both SSB and CW where every exchange requires the human
to copy and log the data.
