Please may I inquire whether it is acceptable practice to work split when
facing a pile up in a RTTY Contest?
The split could be just 1 or 2 kHz up.
Working split will help to clear the "traffic" for both sides.
But when the bands are crowded, it can take up valuable frequency space.
Perhaps working split should only be done at the upper end of the RTTY band
allocation so as to avoid the popular and heavily used portion of the band.
