Comments:
I'm pleasantly surprised that we ended up with this score. An hour before the
contest, we were relocating the 80 meter loop. The biggest problem we had was
loose RF in the shack that held up the other transceiver in transmit at times
and at times, would cause the transceiver to drop out. So for all of you very
patient folks who saw us repeatedly trying to send out exchange, it was because
of this problem. For that, we apologize and appreciate your patience.
We also lost one of the Alpha's during our run on 15 meters. Most of the 15
meter and a portion of the 40 meter Qs were made with 100 watts. The amp
failure occurred early in the contest.
We also burnt up the traps in one of the yagis but was of little consequence to
us.
>From midnight until 6am this morning, the graveyard shift only made 100 Qs
combined between 40 and 80 meters, however, 20 opened to EU for us this morning
about 6:20 am.
All the ops are regulars now for our RTTY contests, however, we welcomed Larry,
K8UT who fit right in with the group. We didn't rib Larry too much about being
a Yankee and he particularly enjoyed the Pickled Pigs Lips. :)
Thanks to everyone as it was a blast. 73'.....Fred WW4LL
