Comments:
This wasn't a good weekend for me as my older daughter's 16th birthday was
today. However, I felt I had to operate, at least a little, since my picture
(and such kind comments) appeared with the Roundup announcment in QST last
month. So, here's my meager score for 1 hour of operating.
I've been a RTTY contester for a long time and have a wall full of RTTY contest
plaques, including some "collectors items" like one from the 1995 CQWW RTTY
sponsored by the short-lived ADRS. The earliest certificate I could find in my
collection is WAE RTTY 1988 - 1st place USA. Hey, that was before PCs and RTTY
contesting software - and some guys complain about copying QTCs now. Think what
it was like then :.)
My interest in RTTY contesting is not what it once was. My last serious effort
was CQWW RTTY 2003. I've been more geared up for CW contesting the last few
years... So, in case any of you have wondered where I've been lately, I'm still
here, and still subscribed to the RTTY reflector, but just sitting on the
sidelines.
73,
Barry
