All,
Just spoke with Don, AA5AU. He and the family left the New Orleans area
Saturday night and they are presently in Shreveport LA. Everyone is safe
and waiting for news and an opportunity to return. He is trying to get
internet access and may be successful later today.
He indicated that his area may not be flooded. Damage reports are likely
due to the high winds and a possible tornado in the area. Harvey is on the
west side of the Mississippi River and flooding is reported on the opposite
side of the river.
At this point, they are not be permitted to return until given permission
by the Jefferson Parish authorities. This might be next Monday at the
earliest and only for a limited time.
