The July 2005 NAQP RTTY is scheduled for this weekend, July 16-17, 1800-0200
UTC. While primarily a North American contest, DX stations are certainly
urged to participate. Plaques for qualifying (200+ contacts) DX stations are
available, in both SO and M/2 categories, providing there are more than 5
station logs submitted, in each category.
Rules may be seen http://www.ncjweb.com/naqprules.php
There are several items that need clarification.
1) There seems to be some misinterpretation, of the rules, regarding the use
of packet cluster, for Single Operator stations! For clarification: "packet
cluster use (viewing of spots) is not allowed for Single Operator stations"!
To keep from convincing me that you were only "sending spots, not viewing
them", I highly recommend those Single Operator stations, refrain from
sending spots.
2) Logs must be posted, in Cabrillo format, not emailed, to:
http://www.ncjweb.com/naqplogsubmit.php
Logs that are emailed, will be returned, and must be posted, using the above
address.
3) Paper logs may be converted to Cabrillo format, using:
http://www.b4h.net/cabforms/naqprtty_cab.php
If your contest logging program does not produce a Cabrillo formatted log,
but does produce an ADIF file, there are several programs that will convert
ADIF to Cabrillo, available. A google search should find you one
.4) Everyone is requested to submit your log, regardless of the amount of
contacts. If you are a member of a team, a log submission is required, in
order for your score to be counted.
5) Team organizers must register their team(s), prior to the contest:
http://www.ncjweb.com/rttynaqpteamreg.php in order for their team(s) scores
to be counted.
Above all, please participate, and have fun!!
