Surprised that nobody mentionned yet the microham MK
Everything from a USB-port... you can create as many virtual com-ports as you
need, and do rig-control FSK CW and PTT from any software.

as bonus you get
- transfo isolated audio in/out interfacing (with front panel-pots for level
in/out adjustment)
- opto-coupled PTT/CW/FSK
- winkey with front panel speed control
- High voltage relay for "vintage PA" switching (if you ever burned your rig
remote port, by connecting a TL922, you know hw useful it is...).
- possibility to connect a keyboard for "computer free" RTTY and CW with at
least 10 message buffers (ie if you have a transceiver with a built-in TTY
decoder ie pro2/3).
- In a near future an extension for SO2R should be available.

Bought it for my new laptop which does not have any COM-port and it is working
fine (tested with MMTTY, MMVARI, N1MM, mixW, and WSJT).

Good value for money...

Hi all

Got a new radio coming this week, a TS-450SAT with all filters, etc. Just
doing some figuring and I don't have enough comports to do all that I want to
do.

It has FSK and I want to set it up and that takes one comport. One fot PTT,
one for radio control, and one to hook to the other computer if I run SO2R.
That's 4 and I got 2.

What is the best solution? TIA

Tom W7WHY
