I use FSK, leave XIT off, tune the PBT to about 4 o'clock and I seem to be
spot on. I have two OMNI's side by side and they can talk to each other
without walking.

I like to ask a question of the other guys who use this rig.
The manual clearly states that even while FSK mode is in use, receive is on
LSB.
I though I had solved this problem by using the XIT to raise the transmitted
frequency by 1.41 kHz.
However, while chatting with a local, he says 1.21 is correct ( He transmits
and I "walk" the XIT to his frequency. A QSO I had yesterday resulted in a
+1.28 offset.
Would appreciate hearing from any others on what you use.
