Thanks for the ideas, I don't think it's RF as I have the power down to zero when doing the tests...

Both ports are real COM ports...

Shack is a rats nest, so no problem there !!

Still looking...Sure would like to give out NS in Tara Melee...

Periodically, when hitting one of the F keys to TX a RTTY buffer, the rig keys and stays keyed until I hit ESC...The buffer prints in the RTTYrite window, but no diddles or TX, just a carrier...Keeps doing this until I restart WL, or reboot the machine...No apparent pattern, just random...

I have had this kind of problem, am racking brain to remember how I solved it.... I think in my case it may have been an RF issue - next time it locks up, try turning down the power and see if it drops out.

Are the two COM ports the same, or is one a USB adapter? Try swapping ports.

I found with my RF issues on RTTY that simply rearranging cables away from the feedlines helped a lot. Neat runs collect more RF, rats nests seem to be better.

hope some of the above helps - if I think of anything else, will let you know...
