Interesting question and you may be right. Yes, you can spot - you just can't
receive spotting assistance. Although I've never done it, I believe WriteLog
has a Single-op mode that allows you to send spots and not receive them.

But the way the rule is written, it does sound funny.

NAQP Rule question?

<clipped from the NAQP rules>

5. Entry Classification:
a) Single Operator:
i) One person performs all transmitting, receiving, spotting, and logging
functions as well as equipment and antenna adjustments.
ii) Use of helpers or spotting nets is not permitted.

<end of clip>

Why does 5.a) part i) say one person does all including SPOTTING.
While part ii) says spotting nets is not permitted?

Does this mean I can spot for the multi-guys, but not look at the spots myself?

Please, I am trying to be serious...
