This worm exploits a known Microsoft security hole:

The patch for this has hole been available from Microsoft for a couple of
weeks.
The point I'm trying to make here is to make sure your Operating System is
updated on a regular basis using Microsoft's Automatic Update process. Just
using a virus checking program is NOT enough.
