The following is a copy of my posting to the Kenwood TS-570 reflector that
may be of interest to RTTY contesters. I wonder if other Kenwood rigs have
the sneaky 9-key. It bit me pretty good.

Subject: TS-570 'R-FSK" setting
Thanks to Volker, DL1KSV, I learned a new (to me) setting on the TS-570D(G)
today. If you go to Page 29, step #6 under RTTY in the TS-570 manual you
will find a description.
If you are in FSK and push the number-button "9" it toggles the sideband.
This probably explains why the T33C operator came back to me saying I was
reversed. I may have pushed the 9 button by accident. I spent hours trying
to find out what was wrong with my MacRATT settings controlling the PK-232
and the problem was probably some dummy (me) pushed the 9 key.
I don't really recall ever seeing the "R-FSK" for reversed sideband on the
TS-570 display.
