CONTEST QSL's:
I completely agree with Shelby's comments. I believe the practice of
QSLing every single contest contact has gotton way out of hand and has
greatly diminished the character, quality and purpose of the QSL card.
While I continue to reply to every QSL received (I have a stack of about
400 to send to ARRL now), I think that I must stop this practice soon.
Also, way too many of the cards I receive are those with labels only -
with no hand written signature, other than maybe a scribbled set of
initials, which makes the card very impersonal - further diminishing the
character and quality of the QSL. I fill out and sign every QSL card by
hand. For those who would say to me "no QSL, no QSO", I would say "FB,
in that case, I really don't want or need your QSO". Perhaps someone
will start a list "for those who 'no qsl, no qso' then the rest of us
will no QSO".

gheez, this is ridiculous!
