Strange...I was just thinking about how much QRM I was receiving from the SSB stations !

I agree Jim, 40 is already crowded, and hopefully the Makrothen will be rescheduled to not coincide with the ARRL DX SSB...It will just not work...

What really made me chuckle to myself is after an hour on 7.035 running RTTY, I heard the most gawd awful racket... I clicked on the LSB button only to hear a very prominent US "1" station op berating me for operating RTTY in the SSB portion of the band!! Scissors/Corn Flakes box came to mind........

Peaceful coexistence......

I was the 40 meter SSB operator at KC1XX in this weekend's ARRL DX SSB contest.

Scheduling a RTTY contest the same weekend as an international phone contest is
a poor decision, IMO. The QRM from RTTY stations cut into an already
too-narrow 40 meter SSB band.

I hope the contest sponsors will move this contest to a different weekend next year.
