Remarks: What a contest! My highest QSO number in a RTTY contest sofar.
In between a period of deep frustration. Just 127 QSOs in 5 hours, watching
others (DL and Europe) passing out numbers 200 - 300 higher than mine!
QTC feature makes this one of the most interesting contests to me!
The exchange of a series of ten QTCs needs much less time than to
make the same number of QSOs. I dislike the 48 hour mere QSO number
gathering events.
Lowlights: Some extremly poor signals, spoiling 14075 to 14100 kHz with
S9+ hash and multiple spurii. The same at times on 15 and 80. Due to my
own contesting efforts I did not attempt to find the culprits. Failure
to attract HS1PDY's attention. Only 14 JAs worked - didn't copy/find more.
Where was DON? Many stations (again) refused QTC exchange.
Highlights: 10m open to the eastern parts of North America. Exchange of QTC
with VR2BG on 10m. Being called by VK6HD on 80m and ZF2NT on 40m. Again
many new calls on RTTY.
