Jon et al,

I second that. I played once in WAE just when I had switched to WriteLog and was still using my old software. And never got back to it (no fun).

This year I needed to check out my newest station setup - after getting my FT1000mp fixed and back, I swapped position of the radios because the tuning knobs were making my arms tired after a few hours. So now every thing that was "right" is now "left" etc. Thought this might lead to some pilot errors (which it did, like FSK was reversed on FT1000mp after factory reset of all menu items and I usually run on AFSK except during contests).

So I set a goal to work at least 100 Q (to see how every thing went) and to not leave any QTCs unsent and to receive all QTCs offered. Which I did. Found lots of little things to clean up (like a stub for 3rd harmonic of 40m, 15m seemed open early while 40m still in there) before Tara time. QTC's were a snap and lots of fun. Only put in 7 hours due to other commitments and fixing problems as time allowed.

See you in Tara

Normally I don't post to both reflectors at the same time, but this might be

One of the main reasons for contests is to have fun in them! Having decided
to skip previous WAE RTTY tests to avoid QTC? queries, and not spoil anyone
else's fun with "Sorry no QTC" buffers, I vowed that this year could be
different.

And it sure was!
