Unless/until contest sponsors stop "suggesting" and start "requiring" US
stations operating from a call area other than the one suggested by their
number", nothing will change! From SCC rules: "Note: USA stations are kindly
asked to use '/x', if operating outside their own callsign area (K5ZD/1)."
If/when "kindly ask" is changed to "required", then, and only them, will
there be no doubt in the application of the rules! Leaving interpretation of
the rules to the participants is only asking for controversy?
