No doubt, I have been spoiled with the conditions over the past few years!
Also far too much basketball to watch! Tried my best to work 5B4AGN on 10,
and watched as he worked several other 4's, but he either was ignoring me or
couldn't hear me? Worked CN8KD immediately after N2WK and received the same
serial number (440), as he gave N2WK? As one that does not work dupes, I
find that the calling station has usually misprinted my call, the second
time, due to conditions or other factors. My "B4" message gives the time
worked, which allows the calling station to verify whom they worked instead
of me. If they do call a second time, I will work them. Once again, far too
many stations responding to my CQ, giving my call sign several times and
their own call once? There is far too much valuable RTTY contesting
information available for this to be happening? No...I'm not a
perfectionist, and I welcome any/all calls, but for the same ones, contest
after contest, to be doing the same thing, baffles me? Once again, several
"new calls" in my log. Just to see how it was working, I decided to use the
"friend" file, early in the contest. IMHO, there are many that need to
"verify their name"! I doubt if N2FF has been called Francis in quite some
time? Also many Joseph's, that probably wouldn't even "turn their head" if
they hear that, instead of Joe?
The weather is getting too nice, and the fishing along with it, to be inside
for an entire weekend! I may "show up" in a few upcoming contest's, but I
suspect that NAQP will be my next "full time" effort.
