While I seldom, if ever, set any goals for any contest, simply because there
are far too many uncontrollable factors involved! Usually, I only attempt to
better the last effort. My original "game plan" was to operate 1800-0500,
0800-1200 and 1500-2400, but 80 was too good and kept me until 0542. I
overslept and my planned "3 hours later" return wasn't until 1043. I took my
"second 3 hour" break from 1228-1528 on order to attend church. I do have
another life! My concentration level caused me to stop operating with 30
minutes left in the contest, and using my "20/20 hindsight", operating those
30 minutes would have probably given me a higher score than the 2002 winner,
my good friend Earl, N5ZM!
Regardless...I had fun, hope y'all had fun, and thanks to all for the
contacts!
This may be "preaching to the choir", but if you "need" my QSL card, please
read carefully!! Direct QSL requests without SASE will not be returned, but
may be claimed at http://www.qslcard.com/qslcard/ after February 1, 2003.
