Hi all,
Well, I can vouch for the reply Walt gave you, as I had a similar
experience!
As Walt said, the fuse checks out OK with an Ohm-meter, and is fine for
small loads, but once you use a bit more power, the fuse stops working.
Mine was in the power cord to the rig, an FT900, which did all sorts of odd
things when I tried to Tx.
Usually, it would shut down, and then I had to wait a few minutes before it
would power up again.
I had the PSU in pieces, measured all sorts of parameters, and got well
hacked off! AT one point, the rig would not power up at all, which was when
I tried replacing the fuse as "a last resort", and found the problem.
Try replacing the fuses, just in case!
