I thought maybe he had NET turned on, if he was running a sound card
program (perhaps WriteLog with MMTTY - don't know).  But I asked him
to turn it off.  I told him his transmit frequency was moving around.

He came back with "Thanks Don but I think the rig (garbled) little (more
garble)" and didn't get what he said but I'm guessing the radio might be
having a problem.

Keep your hand on the tuning dial and your eye peeled to your indicator.
He is definitely moving around slightly on his transmit.

Around 21078 or so.
