Some of the RTTY ops in the New Orleans area, namely W5ZPA and WX5L
have pushed hard to have RTTY included in this operation. With K5VT being
one of the operators, it now appears it just might happen.
They are hoping it will become a new DXCC Entity, but I've not been
following
it that closely to offer an opinion.

Just read the info on the Ducie Island DXpedition , starting on the 16th....
Gawd ! I go under knife on the 13th and will be in hospital for at least a
week (hip replacement). I do not see any length of stay mentioned in the
info, does anyone know of their intentions ???
Should I bring along my car to the hospital just in case a quick qsy is
