Does anyone have experience with this cable from The Netherlands:

  http://www.butel.nl/icomr2/icom11.html

It appears to be better made, here are the specs:

 * Complete converter in 9 pin sub D connector.
 * Advanced SMD technology
 * Export price only USD 40.00 including shipping worldwide
 * 'Sealed' connector to avoid loose wires like Icom/Yaesu interfaces
 * Compatible with Icom R2 / R3 / R10 / Q7 / Yaesu VR500.
 * Professionally manufactured (not home build!)
 * Supports ALL radio's that use 3.5 mm Speaker/CI-V control bus.

I'm seriously thinking of buying one.
