As Eddie, W6/G something-or-other pointed out, one has lots of time out here on the west coast during the Russian RTTY contest... So, I got to wondering why the Russian RTTY contest is conducted in English. Could it be there are no Cyrillic Baudot characters? Come to think of it, every RTTY transmission I've ever heard was either English or French. Might have heard a Spanish one, can't remember for sure.
