That wasn't my point. The filter would limit the useful width of the
waterfall. I had suggested wider to potentially learn more, and also
more data on when the source is present. One of the waterfalls showed it
turning on, then off 10 sec later.

I wouldn't expect it to be narrow on receive.
I'm not familiar with Flex rigs. Elecraft has very good RX bandpass
filters on each band (or pairs of higher bands, and I would expect Flex
to do the same.
Do you hear the noise on on other bands?
